The Illinois Human Rights Act declares freedom from sexual harassment to prevent sexual harassment in employment and sexual harassment in elementary, secondary, and higher education. In 2019 Illinois’ Public Act 101-0221 or Illinois Workplace Transparency Act amended The Illinois Human Rights Act. The Act enhanced protections against workplace sexual harassment and discrimination by the process of new laws and amendments to several existing ones.
