• All employers are required to provide written notice of employees’ rights under the Human Rights Law both in the form of a displayed poster and as an information sheet distributed to individual employees at the time of hire.
  • The notice should be displayed in a highly visible place.
  • Notices can be posted to electronic bulletin boards if this is the most effective method of providing notice to employees.
  • Employers with multiple locations must post at all locations.
  • Remote workers may have notices emailed to them with a confirmation of the email.
  • Notices posted must be in both English and Spanish. The links to the posters are provided in the TAP Series Sexual Harassment training and can be found at NYC.gov
  • State law requires that companies create a detailed sexual harassment policy and distribute it to their employees. Employees need to confirm they receive and read the policy.
